Why has LeoVegas Group decided to be a co-creating sponsor of Women in Tech Sweden again this year?
“Women in Tech is a fantastic organisation. Their mission to encourage more women to pursue tech careers really resonates with us at LeoVegas Group. It aligns closely with our own focus of fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone feels they can belong. We’re proud of being a diverse, multicultural team with 75+ different nationalities, so inclusivity is a very important part of our culture.
Our co-creating sponsorship is helping us to broaden our credentials in the tech world and attract the talent that we need to build world-class products and platforms for our players and achieve our ambition of becoming a global tier-one operator.”

In your experience, how important are role models?
“The role models we have as we grow in our careers have the power to shape our entire career trajectories. The people we look up to as we grow professionally often influence the choices we make and the paths we believe are open to us. I find that really exciting as a leader, knowing the impact you could have on someone else’s journey.
In fields like tech, where there still aren’t as many female role models, that impact becomes even more important. Visibility matters. Seeing someone you can relate to in a role you aspire to makes a difference in believing that it’s possible for you too.
That’s also why initiatives like Women in Tech are so great to be involved in. We see this as an opportunity to role model our own women in tech by highlighting their work, sharing their experiences and giving them the visibility they deserve. We want everyone to experience the positive impact of gender diversity in tech and how this helps a business become stronger.”
How would having more women in tech roles impact LeoVegas Group?
“At LeoVegas Group, we’re very proud to own and build our own tech for our core products. And automation and technology is only moving faster. It’s already changing the mobile igaming landscape and how our customers expect to engage on our platforms and experience our products.
The questions we’re always asking ourselves is how can we keep on improving for our customers and learn from both the successes and hiccups.
I believe we can keep up, but that adaptability and understanding of what our customers want and need comes from having diversity of thought, more creativity and different opinions and ideas. Having more women in tech positions is a clear benefit for us. We want different perspectives because our people directly shape our products, bringing us closer to our mission of building the world’s greatest iGaming experience.”
How are LeoVegas Group building inclusivity and gender equality into workplace culture?
“Creating an inclusive culture is a shared responsibility of everyone at the Group, but it should start with all leaders and managers creating an environment that’s comfortable for conversations around Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) to happen. It’s not always the easiest conversation for employees to have, so time and space needs to be carved out by leaders to make this happen.
We’re seeing positive progress in this area. The results of our latest Peakon Engagement Survey show that Inclusivity is one of our highest-scoring areas which pays testament to the actions we’ve taken. We’ve invested in mandatory Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training for new leaders and we encourage colleagues to share their experiences anonymously via Peakon. Our transparent response to this feedback fosters two-way dialogue, builds trust, and ensures continuous progress.
Building inclusivity into everyday decisions makes a real difference too. That means looking at how we hire, promote and develop talent, as well as building awareness of unconscious bias. Even though we have over 2,000 employees, we still have a challenger mentality and that means innovation and ideas are always welcomed and decisions are encouraged to be challenged. That attitude is at the core of how we work and we will continue to promote that. But we know that building a truly inclusive culture requires continuous effort, accountability and a willingness to keep learning and improving.
There is still work to be done across the industry and within our own company to bridge the gender gap in tech, but attending these events is an important step in the right direction and an opportunity to learn and understand where we need to focus more of our efforts within LeoVegas Group.”
