LeoVegas Group’s proprietary sportsbook has just been launched in Denmark. Can you briefly walk us through the launch?
Launching in Denmark is an important and exciting milestone for the Group as we are now able to operate a true multi -country, -brand, -pricing and -regulation Sportsbook at scale.
It’s taken a lot of work behind the scenes to integrate the technologies and get here with set fundamentals for a global scale. We’ve significantly scaled up our engineering capabilities, welcomed brilliant new talent, and tapped into the deep expertise of our engineering, product, and design teams.
A big part of getting this right was understanding the local market. We carried out extensive market research to make sure our Sportsbook is tailored specifically for Danish players from day one. The result has been a successful launch with a fully upgraded Sportsbook experience. It’s a big step forward, and we’re just getting started on our international rollout plans.
What kind of betting experience can users expect on the new Sportsbook?
Our players in Denmark can look forward to a fully upgraded Sportsbook experience with a new design, faster interface, flexible betting experience with deep parlay functionality of bet builder plus, unique features and gamified bonus functions. We can’t wait to see our players’ reaction!
All the content our players know and are familiar with remains readily available and we’ve also prepared a streamlined onboarding flow to help bettors transition smoothly and easily discover everything the upgraded Sportsbook has to offer.
Could you introduce the tech advancements behind the proprietary sportsbook release and what are the best features you can highlight?
Our proprietary greenfield Sportsbook technology is built on a foundation of significant technical advancements and our customers will feel the benefits of these investments through higher bet acceptance rates, easier bet placement, smoother navigation and search, and quicker loading times.
We’re especially excited about the new features we’re rolling out. We’ve enhanced the Live betting experience with things like personalized Live event views, Bet Assist, streaming, and more in-depth live statistics. We’ve also introduced new ways to bet, including Flex Combination betting and the option to reuse betslips. On top of that, we’re giving players more control with features like Partial Cash Out and introducing real-time Missions to keep the experience dynamic and rewarding.
What are some of the goals for the new Sportsbook in the future, and how do you plan to achieve them?
We’ve got big plans for the Sportsbook in the years ahead. Our goal is to roll out in more countries and across more brands, all while continuing to evolve and improve our product and overarching customer experience.
We are on track for our international rollout schedule and will continue to learn from the additional markets we go live in, analyzing the competition in new territories we enter, and consistently innovating to bring more excitement and engaging features into our product. All of this will be done while staying true to our core DNA of providing fast, simple, and clear betting experiences that truly improve sports betting.
What trends do you expect in the future in the sports betting industry, and how is LeoVegas Group positioned to lead or adapt to these changes, especially with the launch of the new Sportsbook?
We constantly monitor both our direct competition and broader entertainment industry trends. Looking ahead, there’s huge potential for rapid innovation, with AI advancements, the increasing availability of wider and more granular statistics, and new technologies that can make live betting more social and engaging. Personalization is always top of mind and on top of that we are always looking at ways to make the experience of following or watching sports more exciting, at the end we only exist to enhance the emotions of sports and make sports a little bit more exciting.
Lastly, we plan to explore more opportunities in social features and remain agile to adapt to emerging technologies to make sure LeoVegas Group stays at the forefront of the sports betting experience.
